It has low hygroscopicity, being soluble in water, soluble in liquid ammonia, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in acetone and ether. The relative density is 1.527, boiling point is 520℃. The aqueous solution is alkaline, and the acidity is enhanced when heated.
