Anion Polyacrylamide

  • Description:

Product name: Anion Polyacrylamide

Synonyms: PAM, 2-propenamide homopolymer, Anion PAM, APAM, Anionic Flocculant.

CAS No.: 25085-02-3

  • Characteristics:

Anionic polyacrylamide is a water-soluble synthetic polymer, which has the properties of flocculation, thickening, shear, resistance reducing and dispersion, etc.. The active groups in molecular can be adsorbed at the interface to change the interface state. It can form hydrogen bonds with a number of substances after affinity and adsorption which enable it to bridge between the adsorbed particles. So that several or even dozens of particles link into large floc to accelerate the particles settlement in suspension, speed up the solution clarification and promote filtering.

  • Health & Safety

These products can irritate the eyes and skin. Rubber gloves, goggles and protective clothing are recommended for use while handling. They are not acutely toxic by oral and dermal administration to laboratory animals though eye irritation did result. See the Material Safety Data Sheet for complete safety, health and environmental data.

  • Handling & Storage

Solutions are no more corrosive than water and recommended materials of construction include stainless steel, fiber glass, plastic, and glass or expoxy-lined vessels. Do not use iron, copper or aluminum. Spilled polymer is very slippery and should be collected prior to flushing with water. The shelf life of these products is 24 months when stored in unopened package in a dry atmosphere at temperature no higher than 40℃.
