- Description:
Product name: Cation Polyacrylamide
Synonyms: PAM, 2-propenamide homopolymer, Cation PAM, Cation Flocculant.
CAS No.: 69418-26-4
- Characteristics:
Cationic Polyacrylamide is a kind of water-soluble polyelectrolyte, which is nontoxic, tasteless, soluble in water easily and insoluble in organic solvents, such as ethanol and acetone. The molecular chain is flexible, relative molecular weight is steady, ionic distribution is even. The floc forming and separation speed is fast. with firm floc and high dewatering effect.

As a flocculating agent, mainly used in industrial solid-liquid separation process, including settlement, clarification, concentrate and sludge dewatering processes. The main applications sectors are: urban sewage treatment, paper making, food processing, petrochemical, metallurgical, miner dressing, dyeing, sugar making and all kinds of industrial wastewater treatment. In the paper industy, used as dry strength agents, retention agents, and filter aids, which can greatly improve paper quality, save cost and improve the production capacity. Besides, CPAM used as the chemical material in the oil field.such as the Anti-clayswlling agent, Acidificaflon thickening agent, Oil waste water treatment agent, etc.
- Health & Safety
These products can irritate the eyes and skin. Rubber gloves, goggles and protective clothing are recommended for use while handling. They are not acutely toxic by oral and dermal administration to laboratory animals though eye irritation did result. See the Material Safety Data Sheet for complete safety, health and environmental data.
- Handling & Storage
Solutions are no more corrosive than water and recommended materials of construction include stainless steel, fiber glass, plastic, and glass or expoxy-lined vessels. Do not use iron, copper or aluminum. Spilled polymer is very slippery and should be collected prior to flushing with water. The shelf life of these products is 24 months when stored in unopened package in a dry atmosphere at temperature no higher than 40℃.
