- Product Description:
Product Name: Ferrous Sulphate Monohydrate
Other name: Ferrous sulfate monohydrate; Iron sulfate monohydrate, Ferrous sulfate; Iron(II) sulphate monohydrate, Ferrous sulfate mono.
Molecular formula: FeSO4·H2O
CAS No.:13463-43-9
Molecular weight: 278.05
EINECS No.: 231-753-5
- Product Characteristics:
Easily soluble in water (1g / 1.5ml, 25 ° C or 1g / 0.5ml boiling water). Do not dissolve in ethanol. It is reductive. The toxic gas is released by high heat. In the laboratory, it can be obtained by reacting copper sulfate solution with iron. It will weather in dry air. It is easily oxidized in humid air into a brownish-yellow basic iron sulphate which is hardly soluble in water. The 10% aqueous solution is acidic to litmus (Ph value is about 3.7). It loses 3 molecules of water when heated to 70-73 ° C, loses 6 molecules of water to 80-123 ° C, and converts to basic ferric sulfate to 156 ° C or above.
